Summer Fun

Since we got back from our trip to the Outer Banks we have been able to really enjoy summer. We went to the Lehi Round-up rodeo. Before the rodeo we bought hats from my Uncle Chip. The boys look a little Amish with their hats on.

That weekend David had a Court of Honor. He received his Second Class rank.
Kelly left for South Carolina to work. My parents have a time share in Park City. So the boys and I headed up to spend some time up there. My mom also came and spent the weekend with us. While we were in Park City we went to the Mountain Resort and rode the Alpine Slide and Coaster. This is always lots of fun. We went swimming and went out and watched the kids jump at the Olympic Sports park. One morning my mom and I went walking to a beautiful little old cemetery that had a gorgeous stream running through it. Even though we only spent a couple of days there it was a great little get away.

Saturday after we got back from Park City we went on a jeep ride with my mom and dad. We went up American Fork Canyon on lots of the dirt roads. We ended up at Cascade Springs and we stopped at Sundance as well. The Canyon was absolutely gorgeous. It was a great day for a ride. That night when we got home we had F-16 Fighter jets fly over our house about six or seven times. I thinks they were flying over Stadium of Fire.
Monday was the Fourth of July. We went to my mom and dad's for breakfast then we went up Provo Canyon and hiked to Stewart Falls. Chelsea, DJ, Amber, and Gregg and their boys all hiked with us. It was an adventurous hike. There was an injured hiker that search and rescue were working on getting off the mountain. We watched that for a while. We also saw a moose along the trail. That night we had a BBQ and lit off fireworks in front of my mom and dad's.
Yesterday Amber called and invited me and the boys to go swimming. It was free swim day at AF pool. Amazingly it wasn't too crowded. After swimming we went and got pizza then we went and watched the soap box car derby. It was a fun evening.
I hope that we continue to have a fun summer filled with fun summer activities.
