Even though it seems like Christmas was a long time ago I wanted to blog about it just for my own personal use. Blogging seems to be the only journal I keep these days so I want to record all of the important events in our family.
Christmas Eve started with our traditional breakfast at IHOP with my family. Kelly's Dad and his wife SueAnn also joined us this year.

The rest of the day was spent visiting with Kelly's Dad and last minute preparations for Christmas. That evening we went to my mom's for the Annual Christmas Eve Party. The original plan was that it would be a very small get together with Mom and Dad, Amber, Gregg, and their Kids, Us, and Kelly's Dad and SueAnn. The party grew a little though. My aunt and uncle Irene and Jay, their son Shawn and his wife Sandy and their four kids joined us. Chelsea and DJ came and went a few times through out the night as well. We had a food, played games, reenacted the Nativity scene, and just enjoyed the evening. Here we are in our yearly Christmas PJ's.

Christmas morning we ended up with all of the Grandparents at our house to see us open presents. Here is a picture of the boys with those sleepy faces I love every year.

The boys decided they each wanted their own Christmas trees this year. We had some extra trees we used outside for decoration a couple of years ago. So on Christmas Eve we let the boys put up and decorate their own trees. Then Santa left all of their presents under their own tree. Here are Grandma and Grandpa waiting for the kids to come out and see all their presents.

Here are the boys checking out all of their presents.

David and Grammy talking about presents.

The boys were both spoiled as usual. The family got a new Wii (the last one died this summer after never being turned off). Kage got a lot of G. Ji. O's (GI Joe's) (for some reason Kage has always called them G Ji O's) this year. He also got a new bike, and helmet. David got a lot of video games, both for the wii and his DSi. It doesn't take long for the boys to jump right in opening toys.

The rest of the day was spent playing with toys and eating good food. We spent a lot of our holidays doing that. Kelly took the Christmas break off of work. We had late mornings, lazy afternoons, fun nights playing games. We spent almost every evening with our friends the Love's playing games.
On New Year's Eve day we decided to go tubbing at Soldier Hollow. We talked my Mom and Dad into dropping everything they were in the middle of and go with us. We got all the way up there only to find out they were sold out for the day. So we ended up going down into Midway to go ice skating. I hadn't been ice skating in years and the boys had never done it. Here we are all together out on the ice.

The boys did pretty good after a little while.

Kage started counting how many times he fell. I think that it was something like 58 times.

He still said it was fun. The holiday's were enjoyable. The break went by way too fast. We had a great Holiday and hope all of you did too.

What fun! It's funny how exactly similar our posts were - I'm glad we were able to spend so much time together over Christmas.
